VELVET CRUSH

I totally love this velvet trend which you see a lot in stores nowadays. It is quite strange but I remember that in the 90’s it was also a big thing. My sister had a long grey velvet skirt and I just hated it. I found that trend so ugly and I kept feeling the same way each time I saw somebody wearing it or when I saw it in stores.

But last season it changed. It started with these amazing velvet blazers that you found in stores and suddenly I was totally up for it. I didn’t buy one in the end but each time I saw a cute velvet blazer I thought they were so lovely.

Summer season came and my need for velvet slowly disappeared but when we travelled to Hong Kong in September, I saw this deep dark blue velvet troussers in the window and I fell in love all over again.

The loose fit and that deep gorgeous colour are just to die for. They are super comfortable to wear and combined with sneakers it gives a cosy, casual look.

I combined them with a black jumper and a leather jacket but you can easily also wear  them with a nice coat during those colder days.
